Second Year Intermediate Classes start from June 1st. She has given the list of notebooks and text books that she require to Radhakrishna garu She attempted Improvement Exam in Chemistry I requested Radhakrishna garu to talk with the Principal and ask for any concession. (He is the one who spoke with the Principal earlier and the Principal gave a concession for Rs. 4000). He said he is busy now as he is undergoing training in APPA. He will go to college on 28th or so. Also we need not pay the fee on June 1st itself. Usually students are given sometime to pay. Radhakrishna garu requested us to meet him and collect the books list so that we can give them to her on time, by June 1st. He can meet anywhere near Dilshukhnagar bus stop. We can try if we can get second hand text books for second year intermediate. Notebooks, as usual we can buy at the shop Ratanji suggested. They reduce one rupee on each book. They sell long note books @16 per book but will give us for 15 rs. only. Our tasks To get the note books and text books list from Radhakrishna garu, buy and handover them to either Radhakrishna garu or to Swathi directly on or before May 31st. To pay the college fee once we get to know the amount we should pay Time: May 31st Volunteer: ????? Radhakrishna garu requested us to ring to him after 7 pm only. I will give the phone number of Radhakrishna garu to the corresponding volunteer. This case will be forwarded to Suresh Adina as he showed interest in this case earlier. He contributed for long note books and he also wanted to give a gift to Swathi for the marks she secured first year Intermediate. Suram NagaKamakshi B.Tech. Second Year, Nellore. College fee is Rs. 20000 and bus fee is Rs. 4000. They already got Rs. 10000 from friends and philanthropists/donors in Nellore. Yasoda is interested to send Rs. 10000 this year. Based on her performance in second year, she will decide whether to continue the help for the consecutive years. Yasoda spoke with the girl directly and asked her to send the marklists. Nagakamakshi has sent her 10th, Intermediate, EAMCET RANK CARD and B.Tech. first semester marks list. Time: By July 2nd Volunteers: Yasoda, Prasanthi One Option: (I have to go to Nellore. My trip is being postponed every time for one reason or other. I may go this weekend and I may go again in the last week of June. So I can pay in the college directly.) The children Ratanji suggested 1000 rs. sent by Uday Bhaskar garu for these children will be given to Ratanji. Volunteer: Kasyap Neo Standard School Children (5), Ameer Estate Watchman's children (2) I haven't met the Principals yet. Once the summer holidays are over, we will go and meet the Principal and will pay the fee. Time: June 2nd week Volunteer: Prasanthi Mehdipatnam School Children They requested us for note books and we have the list of children in each class. We have books for 23 children. We need to buy remaining books. Time: July 1st week Volunteer: Karthik At this point of time, I remember these cases only. Project Schools and Project Library I think we can take this up only after the summer holidays. Health Individual Cases Naveen As of now, they do not require money for medicines and even if operation has to be done, there is no need to pay for the operation but only for the tests to parents to check whose kidney matches the requirements of the boy. If they need money for personal expenses, I think we do not know. As per our guidelines, we do not encourage personal help from the group fund. If anyone of our members want to help, they can do so personally. On field volunteers are the correct persons to advice the group on how needy the patient's family is. Ravi is the right person to answer and to update us on this case as he is the one who met the family and the doctors as well. Mrs. Asajyothi, Naveen's mother asked me about old/used sarees, if any. The list of medical cases that are not posted to the group for obvious reasons: 3 yr old baby girl suffering from TB in Brain (Kanchi Kamakoti Hospital, Chennai) This is forwarded to Arun to visit and update us so that we can take a decision on the case (even to forward to the group or not). Arun is very busy till 26th of this month and we can expect an update after 27th . The baby's condition is critical. Blr case Sathya Sai Institution will do the operation free of cost but the family has to pay for the tube (to be inserted in heart) and for the medicines. The estimated cost is 2 lakhs and change. So far they got one lakh rupees. I forwarded this to Raja garu of Kinnera Foundation. He requested for reports. I mailed to the people who forwarded the mail. They wanted me to contact the girl's father directly. I have to make a call to him. Mumbai case Very pathetic case. We are not sure what we can do but nevertheless wished to do whatever we can. I forwarded the mail to Dr. Ismail and he will update us soon. He will be contacting his doctor friends in Mumbai and Delhi. Meanwhile I forwarded the case to three major national news channels. (Of course I didn't get a reply. But I hope that if they get the time to read my mail, they will consider the case and talk to the people involved directly). Project Niloufer Initially we wanted to give a Water Filter and the estimate is Rs. 3500 and installation charges. The next step would be to find out from the Director, Niloufer, on how we can be of help to them. Based on their suggestions, we will plan and schedule our activities. Suresh garu couldn't visit Niloufer hospital as planned earlier due to personal commitments. He expressed his interest to co-ordinate with Ratanji for anything related to Niloufer. Chaitanya and Kasyap are interested in this project. I will mail to Ratanji and Suresh Adina about this project and I request Chaitanya and Kasyap to follow up with them. I am also interested in this project but distance is the only concern. If someone can take me, I too can go. As we have enough volunteers, I will keep my volunteership as optional. If needed, I will attend. Project OPMS This will be resumed. Harinath volunteered to own this project. He will co-ordinate with the OPMS team who worked on it initially. Once he comes back to Hyderabad, I will be working with him in Documentation front. I think that Harinath will mail to the group about the requirements and we need Programmer members to take active role in this project. I hope that RaghuVamsi can take part in Testing. FDP We have to identify few genuine organizations where we can do FDP. By June 3rd, we must be ready with this list and I am the one responsible to come up with the list.
