*Attendees* - RajSekhar, Pavan, Laya, Vineel, Srinivas Mouli, Krishna, Praveen, Badri Narayana, Sandeep, Keerthi and Lakshmi Narayana (Andhra Jyothi Reporter) *Time: 5p.m. - 7p.m.* It started with formal introductions, as there are some new faces who have attended the meeting for the first time. *Discussion & Action Points:*** *Educational Cases:* *Vivek** Nagar School**:* Laya will prepare the list of activities to be conducted every week. Keerthi and Vineel will accompany her. *Yelahanka** Govt School**:* 450 students are there from 1st - 7th class. They have only five teachers so appointed 1 volunteer and paying Rs.1500.They got food from ISKCON freely. The vessels are big so they need Maid to wash the dishes who charges around Rs.700. The school does not have sufficient Furniture. They have only 2 tables, 10 plastic chairs and 3 lockers. So many students have been dropped because lack of facilities for Higher Education. They are looking for funds to construct the classes for 8th-10th Standard. They have requested us for two teacher volunteers and one maidservant. We decided to pay for one teacher volunteer and one maidservant. There is an organization called "RAYS" (name came from Rig-Veda, Atharwana Veda, Yajur Veda, and Sam Veda) which finds Government schools, which are in very pathetic conditions, and helps them by providing the basic necessaries, which are required. Vineel will talk to them regarding this school and then basing on their response, we will take our actions. *Geetha Ashram:* Requirements: Coin Box, check up of old Computers, Cots and Beds. They have 120 children. Raghu and his friends gave Rs. 5k to buy the Cots and Beds. We saw Swamiji last week. He told that they need computer. They got Beds from local MLA. Although they have computer, which they have bought last year, monitor is not working properly. They will show this to H/w engineer and get back to us. Badri narayana has a friend who is a hardware engineer who stays nearby the ashram. He will go to the Ashram and check the computer. Vineel will accompany him as he also stays nearby. If they cannot do in this week, sandeep will go in the next weekend. *Purohithi's Case:* Krishna will talk to her and give update the amount that she has to pay to college by this weekend. Manam group is ready to pay for her books. *ILP:* India Literacy Project (ILP) is a non-profit organization (NGO) which was founded in 1990 in the USA by a group of young Non-Resident Indians. ILP is an active Organization, with more than a 100 volunteers in the U.S and a vibrant organization in India dedicated to the cause of literacy in India. To date, ILP has supported over 100,000 under-privileged children and women in over 12 Indian states. As we are also dealing with similar educational cases, it is better if we can coordinate with them. Pavan will contact them and get more details about this. * * * * *Medical Cases:* *Divya's Case: * This weekend laya will take Divya to Nimhans rehabilitation centre. *Murugesh's Case: * Dr. Rajesh Babu talked to Lakshmi Mani garu (Narayana Hrudayalaya Charity Head) about this case. She agreed to give 50% concession in fee. So, we have to pay around Rs. 3k per month up to 6 months. He was discharged two days back from Narayana Nethralaya and Dr. Rajesh Babu paid the money. *Hemanth's Eye Case: * The mobile number, which is the only contact, is not reachable when Pavan tried to call them. We can think of only if they will call back us. *Media Contacts:* * * *Andhra jyothi and TV9: * This weekend, Anil will meet the media people. * * *Kirshnagiri District Collector:* Collector said he would give appointment after two weeks so that we can go and meet him to know the requirements for the development of the website to help the people to file cases and check the status of their cases online. Our member Vijay is interested to develop this web site. *NGO's Visit:* * * *Sai Trust:* There is an organization called "Sai Trust" (not sure about the exact name) which helps blind people. This weekend, Badri Narayana and RajSekhar will go to get the complete details. *Mahaveer** Jain Hospital**: * This hospital helps physically handicapped people by providing artificial substitutions for any body parts. Badri Narayana and RajSekhar will go to get the complete details. *Spastics Society:* Spastics Society of Karnataka is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) dedicated to the welfare of persons with Neuro-Muscular Disorders and Developmental Disabilities. Sandeep and RajSekhar will go to get the complete details. In addition, Pavan will send the list of NGO's in Bangalore. Please visit the ones, which are near by your home (which may or may not be in the list) and update the group. *Finance:* Those who have not given their membership fee (100/- per month) can transfer the amount to pavan's account.
