Thank you Chaitanya for a very positive reply. Every mail of support gives me strength to persist.
In fact I am only thinking of the war and what to do but not in the broader lines of how we are gung-ho for cricketers ignoring other games and the real heroes on field. These are very facts. But we pretend like blind, deaf and dumb. We are used to be so for many years. I will really give a serious try this time not like during the war. In fact I am awake today only to read the related articles and penning down my thoughts. What I did: 1. Registered in Bharat-rakshak.com and mailed to them on how we can help Dr. Kalia's efforts in getting justice. I also mailed to Sri Gurmeet Kanwal, a Senior Fellow, Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi. I got his details from one of the threads in Bharat-rakshak.com. 2. I am writing an article about my feelings and thoughts on this episode. I posted one page so far. It will be a multipage article and I will share that with the group once it is approved. I think it would be by this weekend. (of course this is more like revisiting the past, my emotions, the journey so far and the future actions) This is the immediate plan of action: 1. Tomorrow I will give a call to Late Major Padmapani Acharya's parents and take an appointment from them to meet on this saturday. Ajit Dembla (a part of our Likeminded Groups forum) told me that he can accompany me if that is on a saturday. (Actually this evening I rang them but they were not at home.) 2. I will try to reach Dr. Kalia, Lt. Saurav Kaliya's father, in the number given in the mail. Through my cell, the call is not allowed. If the number is correct and if I can talk to him, there would be nothing like that. 3. I will also talk to Major Shiv Kiran, who quit the Army after serving for 8 years. 4. As I am going to office, I will try to get the phone number of Colonel Gauri Shankar, the advisor of our HR team. If not tomorrow, I can get it in this week itself and get an appointment in the coming weekend itself. With this, the initial efforts of talking to right people will be done. Based on their response and suggestions, we can think on whether to take up the issue or not.
