I am very happy to share that the recent Nellore trip is very very successful. Nellore will be active very soon by next April. This is the target that I set and I hope we can achieve. 1. Samuel Vonumu himself came forward to sponsor 20 children from Nellore for Education. Spoke with some elders that I know in Nellore and they suggested to talk to the Principal of SRK School. 2. Thalassemia session in Narayana Medical College is also a big success. Though the students seem to be dumb, the professors are active and the Pathologist Dr. Sandeep is very very supportive. 3. We couldn't invite Dr. A.V. Subrahmanyam, Secreatary of Red Cross, Nellore. He showed very much interest and as he was in Hyderabad yesterday I took him to Thalassemia Society and this meeting is a very fruitful one. I am happy to have met a person like Dr. Subrahmanyam. 4. I also spoke with Lions Club Member, Sri N.V. Krishnaiah, about our activities. My mother told him about RTI and he showed very much interest to organize a meeting. He will take care of the arrangements in Nellore. I will request United Forum to take care of the conveyance charges to Nellore. Our TMAD group will take the responsibility of publicity and gathering people. 5. I visited a place called Gollapalem where a sai devotee (who works in Railways in a small post) runs a Child Ashram School. It is a school cum hostel. The children are not like regular orphans. They are of different sorts....... street children, railway thieves (juvenile sort) and who works in hotels. He has been doing this work for the past 14 years. I took pictures and get the details as well. Very soon I will be sharing with you all. 6. There are two medical cases from Nellore. Right now I am not sharing the details as we have already a case suggested by Divya. We will upload them later and see if we can raise funds. Thank you. with regards, Prasanthi.
