Vani. =========================================================== Dear friends, I am to inform you that BREAD Society has already completed the award of fresh scholarships in 2007-08, having awarded 570 fresh scholarships and renewed 418 old scholarships. TANA Foundation has been the single largest contibutor having sponsored 230 fresh scholarships (including replacement of disqualified scholars with fresh scholars) and renewing 100 old scholarships. Our grateful thanks to TANA Foundation and all other donors for their support. To our good fortune, the Society received a substantial donation on November 30, 2007. We are, therefore, calling for fresh applications revising the eligibility criteria, which I am copying below. This is for your information.Please give this news wide publicity so that all eligible students of A.P. can avail of this facility. We hope to cover all eligible students in A.P. with the allocation of Rs.25 lakh but should the eligible applicants exceed, then we will award scholarships on the basis of merit. 1. REVISED ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: BREAD invites applications from eligible students for the award of fresh scholarships. Education up to SSC must be in govt. or fully aided School. Present education must also be in a govt. or fully aided College. Should have passed the basic qualifying examination for admission to any course in 2007 only. i) INTERMEDIATE: Minimum 85% marks for boys and 83% marks for girls. ii) B.Sc: (a) Minimum 85% marks in SSC & Intermediate for boys and 83% for girls. (b) Minimum 85% marks in Inter for boys and 83% marks for girls if the course was pursued in govt. or aided junior college. iii) B.A./B.Com.: Minimum 80% for boys and 78% for girls in Inter if the course was pursued in Arts group in Inter. iv) POLYTECHNIC: CEEP Rank within 6000 or lateral entry to 2nd year. v) D.Ed: DIET CET Rank within 500 or a Rank up to 1000 (with Inter marks 90%). vi) Professional UG: EAMCET Rank within top 5% and admission in a govt. college. vii): B.Sc (Nursing): Students from Govt. Nursing Colleges securing 83% marks in SSC and Intermediate. Last date for receipt of applications is December 31, 2007 .
