This is the mail from Maruti about his meeting with the members of Diwali Foundation and Butterfly Foundation.
============================================================= Hello Prasanthi, Today I met Mr. RamKrishna and his team at KPHB. He is the founder of diwali foundation ( http://www.diwalifoundation.org ) working from last 2 years ONe more team "BUtterfly foundation " also participated in this. We discussed about our focus areas... current activities and future plans. The common point with them and with BOSF is ..Mr. Ramki is also wanted to work on a common platform so that we can share ideas information and work and even finance( all can contribute for the cause if that costs more). 1. Their main focus is on Education. 2. They already running one or two single teacher schools. 3. He wanted to work for children education in slum areas especially in Hyderabad as many of their active members are situated here.. In the discussion we have concluded... 1. Collective appoach towards work. 2. Identify the Active members who can be surely attend the work. 3. Identify slums in our reach...and do some information gathering regarding how may children are there? How many literate? what are main problem for them to goto school? Anybody working for them? etc ... 4. Share it with all.. so that everybody wil look into it. 5. Then prepare a road map for one or two slums.. where we can really do it in ground level. The time schedule is like this Feb ending----- identify slums and get a little information and identfying the slum we have work on April 2nd week ---- Identifying problems and needs. May 2nd week -- preparing a road map and contacting other institutions which can help us. June first week -- Implement the road map ( starting with academic calender) they are also interested in join hands with BOSF. So let us work together and team up and do better.
