Hi All,

On 19th of Jan, Dr. Bala Sreenivas & I went to Niloufer to have an idea of
the requirements and also interact with some doctors and superintendent.

Dr. Bala Sreenivas gave me a tour of the hospital the OP ward, IP wards. We
met some of the PG doctors and one of them was the current President of
Doctors Association in Niloufer.

Their inputs were that in regards to patient care the following things are
required

1. Safe Drinking water
2. Shelters for Attendees
3. Cement slabs along the boundary for sitting of the attendees (As most of
them are seen standing for hours)
4. Blood Bank updation - They dont have enough blood samples to give to the
patients.

We suggested that there seems to be problem with hot water (Kasyap's
thought). They agreed to that as well.

Later on we went to meet the Super-Intendent but he was not available.

Observations from our side were:
1. In the OP most of the attendees/patients dont know where to go so a
mechanism to guide them is required.
2. To have more clear picture of any other problems, we thought of taking a
survey from the patients & attendees during peak hours

Actions thought of:
1. As we have already thought of putting up water filters, we can talk with
the super-intendent about that and take his feedback on other items as well.
2. Also we need to go and take a survey from the patients about what they
feel is problematic in the hospital.
3. Regarding blood bank, it seems they are making efforts trying to talk to
Chiranjeevi Blood bank to be able to provide blood at free of cost to
patients. They feel if the staff in the blood bank are not active and do not
conduct blood dontation camps so they do not have required supply of blood,
so there is need of tying up with NGO for donation camps and also to offer
blood for free to patients.

Recently there has been upgradation in the instruments & equipments itseems
with the help of some other NGOs.

Sreenivas and I am of the opinion to start with one by one like start of
with Water Filters and then do regular visits and take up action items one
by one.

Regards
Chaitanya
