Hi Karthik, Good that we have a school to go on Republic Day. Coming to what we can give, no idea. May be distribution of chocolates like you did on August 15, 2007. But if the school also distributes chocolates no point giving the same. Let others answer this question.
Friends, there is also a meeting on the Education needs of slum children. Vitarana group wants to start work for slum area children-Education. Here is the action plan for that. 1. Identify Slums in our viscinity. 2. Identify children and their present status in education, their needs,reasons for not going to school. 3. Motivate them and their parents towards education. 4. Identify the resource over there and other organizations who can help them out. 5. Make them go to regular school or try to set up a single teacher school in that area. To make this happen we need to work hard and have to spend much time. we want to invlove as many groups or persons who are willing to work.....also need to have a meeting with those like minded people.
