Hello Friends,

Greetings.

This is about organizing a meeting on traffic situation in Hyderabad.
We all see how any downpour results in adverse situation of the civic
amenities for the common people and how difficult it is for us to
travel leave alone the threat of manhole deaths.

Prof. C. Ramachandraiah is a Reader and also an activist. He is
campaigning for Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) in Hyderabad instead
of Metro. He will show us a presentation about BRTS and also share
the
gist of his discussions with a professor who exhaustively studied
about the success of this project in different countries and also
analysed its use for our country.

Prof. Ramachandraiah is also planning to hold a public meeting by
inviting the senior professor and other eminent social activists. He
wants to share the subject with us all so that we can understand what
it is and how is it going to impact us in our daily lives.

Venue will be the office of Center for Economic and Social Studies,
Begumpet. Date and Time would be based on our convenience. The
session
time would be one hour and for questions we can allocate half an
hour.
So overall it would be a one and half hour session.

How about the coming sunday: 10 am to 12 pm? or 3 pm to 5 pm? Or else
the coming saturday? March 30, April 6 are the dates of the
consecutive sundays.

If you can reply early, I can intimate the same to the Professor so
that he can make necessary arrangements.

So far I got three responses from other groups: one from
Traffic Hyderabad and one from MMTS Travellers Owner, one from Vani
to BOSF group. They are interested to come. Even if 10 members are
there we can arrange the meeting.

As you all know we want this as a forum to share useful information.
Traffic being a daily problem in Hyderabad and the govt. is gung-ho
about Metro, we feel to know the intricacies of the problem.

When there are experienced people ready to spare time and share their
knowledge, it is a good opportunity for us to understand the problem
in a better way.

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.
