I implemented this in my home. I din't have this in my mind, but fortunately that striked me at right time.
All of sudden, i started switching off all lights and TV. My mom was puzzled and fighting for remote :) not to miss some program in TV. Then I started explaining her the reason behind this. I had a chance to explain her in detail about global warming and it's consequences. After listening all this, she questioned me what difference it will make if we switch off for an hour? In fact,no one else did it in my neighbourhood. no one else even questioned why we switched off the lights. I told her that every small things we do in respect of our nature collectively makes a huge difference and inspires many people in the long run. While this conversation is going on, I started sending SMS to all contacts in my mobile. I was doing continuously upto 8.45. I hope that it prompted atleast few people participate in earth hour.
