As you know, some of our members and members from other likeminded groups are going to Nellore this weekend. 1. Meeting Narayana Engg. College Principal and explain him about Fresh Brains and also OCMS Project. Adi already met the students and explained them the concept. These students are the members of Eye Care Mission. They are doing wonderful job during their student years itself with the guidance and support from Dr. Hemanth. Harinath too agreed to visit Nellore on 16th and will be meeting the Principal to explain about OCMS Project and how the students also can benefit. 2. Discussing about establishing an active Chapter in Nellore. Ramakrishna garu is helping us whenever there is any need. Dr. Hemanth also helping us in many ways..whether it is suggesting resources to us, introducing volunteers... he is always there despite his busy academic schedule. We need active volunteers for Nellore Chapter who can do the things with the guidance and support from Ramakrishna garu and Dr. Hemanth. We will concentrate on this aspect also. 3. Visiting Gandhi Ashram in Pallepadu, a village which is at 15 kms distance from Nellore. A Youth Programme will be held there on two days, 17th and 18th. We will go there on 17th. Amma group (friends of Dr. Hemanth), Maatru Anuraga (Fayaz's group) and ECM (Eye Care Mission) people will join us. Adi, Pavan and others also may join depending on their schedule. 4. We also have to discuss about the proposed RTI Session in Nellore. We thought of doing it in Town Hall only. But it is occupied on all Saturdays and Sundays in August, September and October as well. We will discuss on other good venues as well and see how we can push this forward. 5. I don't know if I updated the group or not, we helped a poor family (whom we visited in hospital during our Thalassemia Session in Nellore). Dr. Giri sponsored a sewing machine (an advanced one with all the features) through Dr. Raman Foundation. Dr. Raman Foundation helped this case through TMAD. Fayaz is the volunteer. He is the one who actually bought the sewing machine and gave it to the needy family. 6. We also helped Naga Kamakshi and paid college fee for her. Thank you. with regards, Prasanthi.
