Hi Prasanthi and group, I have been hosting my websites on www.bluehost.com for 2+ years, and have been very happy with their hosting service and customer support. I have researched a lot while planning for this, and after reading all reviews - I decided to go with 'Blue Host'. The hosting package costs $6.95 per month (approx. Rs 290/month). The servers run Linux Operating System and the hosting space, monthly bandwidth, Addon domains etc are unlimited. There is no yearly fee for the domain name ( www.tomakeadiffrence.net), and it get's automatically renewed each year for free until we have the hosting service with them. Check the features at http://www.bluehost.com/tell_me_more.html. Unlimited Addon domains feature is very good. What that means is - using the same package of $6.95/month, you can host unlimited websites on their servers. For Example, all 4 of my websites (www.sadanapalli.net, www.nridollars.com, www.visualfiesta.com, and www.tapanafoundation.com) are hosted on Blue Host server using one package of $6.95/month. In the futre, if TMAD likes to come up with any other websites, this will be helpful. Basically what I look at most when hosting a website is - close to no downtime of the servers, less maintenances on servers (most of the time one server hosts many other wbsites too, and we should not have CPU performance issues or database load issues or any system panics or frequent patching etc etc), and immediate response for our queries. Blue Host has been great so far.
And for Content Management, I use Wordpress software - which is free, opensourced and very easy to use with little html/PHP knowledge. Other good opensource CMS tools are: Joomla and Drupal.
