Good going guys...... this is really making good use of the network of like
minded people we have .

Just a few things to consider in your plans ( if not already part of your plans
)
1) Car/Scooter pooling: Motivate the community to pool their resources.
2) School timings: Start & End times to change by 30 - 45 minutes to accomodate
the rush hour traffic.
3) Conduct traffic session: Just to educate the do's and don'ts of traffic.

Also, once you've the plan outlined, please let US  know, i/we shall
communicate to my/our friends in hyderabad..

cheers & great work ...

Hello Friends,

Greetings.

In BosF, we were successful to come up with a common action for a
stipulated time period.

Traffic issue is chosen as the common topic.

What we will do?
We select one particular area - a colony and volunteers of all the
groups will create awareness in the colony.

We will facilitate awareness sessions in the colleges, schools,
residents, shop people etc., by the RTA Department.

Ultimately our goal is to let the residents of those colony take the
responsibility of good traffic in that area.

This is not an on-field activity as the purpose is not being served.
On-field activity means doing the job of a traffic ward.

We will work on-field in the sense, we will talk to the members of
each apartment, talk to schools in that area and we will make sure
that we will motivate and form a team of volunteers from that area.

Immediate Plan of Action

1. We should make sure that all our group members hold and carry all
the required documents all the time.
2. Use Helmets compulsorily.
3. In order to create awareness in others we should know traffic rules
first. So we will organize an awareness session on Oct 18th for
members of all the interested groups. Time will be announced by next week.

By Oct 18th, every group should:
1. List volunteers who has interest in this work. These volunteers
must come and work. If we say two members will work from our group,
they should definitely commit time.
2. Come up with the choice of areas to work -- within the city limits.

On 18th, after the awareness session, we will know the number of
volunteers who will work and how we should proceed.
We will decide the area where we can work. We work in one area.

Let me know how many of you are interested to take part in this BosF
activity. We will not burden those volunteers with TMAD work. They
will be represenatives of TMAD in BosF for the common programme.

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.
