The Bill if adopted would deem MLAs, MLCs, elected members of panchayats, municipalities and municipal corporations as public servants and bring them under the purview of the Corruption Act. The amendment Bill proposal Integrates recommendations, guidelines and suggestions of 166th Law Commission Report Integrates the second Administrative Reforms Commission’s fourth report for eradicating corruption at all levels. Provides for attachment and seizure of property during investigation and forfeiture of property if the accused was found guilty.
