Dear All,
As you all know, sravani has been taken to bangalore and hyderabad for
check up and at both the places, we were told that its not possible to
transplant the eye(cornea) but only a plastic eye can be transplanted.

We just wanted to take a second opinion or rather third.

As I have mentioned earlier, my friend is a optician and has worked in both
sankar netralaya and LV prasad and now is in chennai. I met him yesterday
and spoke with him abt sravani.

He says, there are three options :

if the eye ball is good enough(this is the case when the boy/girl lost their
eye sight recently)..
1. Cornea transplantation can be done if the cornea of donor matches the
recepient(again 50 - 50 chances)
2. Have a contact lens if cornea cannot be transplanted(just for cosmetic
reason and she cannot use the eye to see anythg)

If eye ball is already spoiled, if from many years she is like that,

3. Go for platic eye(just for others, it looks like an eye but she cannot
see anythg - again cosmetic pupose only)

He says, just by seeing itself any normal eye specialist can say this and as
she is already checked by two specialists, there is no need of any second
opinion.

If we still want to take his opinion, he just needs a photograph of that
girl and he can very eaily say.

With the experience from from LV Prasad eye hospital ,he says, we can get
the reports, if we go and meet them and pay some 100 rupees.

They would send us the reposrts in courier or we can request them to mail
the reports too.

So I feel, we can just get the reports from LV prasad and a photograph, if
possible and If you can send me the reports, I can verify it here and we can
even take opinion frm any specialist any where in the world.

But my frd strongly feels that either contact lens or plastic eye could be
the only option. contact lens is little expensive where as platic eye is
very much inexpensive.

So please try to get reports and a clear photo of her faceif possible.
