Dear all,

Here is the update about In Z.P.High school, Bhallan Pally, Mahabubnagar
district

I went along with my brother (Sudharshan reddy) and was present during
August 15 celebrations in bhallan pally. My brother was really very
handy through out this visit.

Students are very active and given proper guidance they can really
achieve good progress in their life. I have presented the school with
science experiements kit (worth 3500/-), books, pens, pencils, charts,
calculators, multiplication tables books (plastic) and chocoloates.
We made sure that every student of the primary school and the high
school got something or the other (table books, pencils, pens in primary
school and pens in high school).

Total cost incurred was close to 5500/-.

Present needs:
payment for volunteers:

There are 2 volunteers working. Looks like they are getting a regular
teacher and hence 1 teacher has no hope of getting any salary from govt.
He has been working from June 12 and as telugu teacher but as a regular
govt teacher is going to join in a week or so, he will not be getting
anything from govt for his work.
I promised the head master that, we will pay 500/- per month, total
1500/- for his work between june and august). Head master will look for
further donations from others.

Also there is another local volunteer called Venkataswamy (He lost his
right leg during his childhood). For me he looks a very valuable asset
to the school. He also needs financial assistance. I am thinking even if
the school gets all the vacancies filled it is worth having him in the
school as teacher. He is very energetic and belongs to the village
(where all the teachers come from neighbouring towns).

I am thinking of supporting this guy as he is worth of it. Request
members to consider it. I am ready to pay the initial amounts.

Benches:
Apart from 10th class no one else have benches to sit, when head master
requested help for the same, some of the ward members and villagers came
forward and offered benches (total of 25 ) but I cannot take it granted
(my father was telling that every year people do give word but they do
not stick to it, I will wait for a month as asked by the donors and see
what we can do about it).

Sarpanch and ward members have gave oral commitment to resolve some of
the local issues (like a power connection ) and getting more teachers
and land for the school.
