Dear Friends of children,

Warm Greetings!

Very recently I have visited Govt. Receiption Unit, Tirupati consists of *Govt.
Boys Home* for Orphans, streen children, run away children, *Observation Home
*for Boys who contacted with Law (Boys under Case Trials), *Special Home for
Boys *of Conflict with Law (Sentenced children) from the age group of 7 to
18 years.

I visited as a part of Study on Children... I interacted with nearly 131
boys who are in difficult circumstances. They have shared lot of things
that probes to think over the situation around this small world that impacts
on these little children. The children came to the Homes with various
reasons, orphans, street children, theft cases and Murders too. A boy aged
about 17 years named Rakesh (name changed for the sake of Cofidentiality &
child's Dignity) is committed murder, sentenced for 2 and half years. He
completed IInd year intermediate, was about to appear for EAMCET exam. But,
all of a sudden the situations turned against him, on a joint family
conflicts he murdered a person of his relative. Now, he is in special home,
regretting for what he did and loosing his studies. He expressed his desire
to study and requested me to provide EAMCET Telugu medium books Maths - 2,
Chemistry - 1 and Physics - 1.

I put his request in front of you and submitting my request to all of you to
provide or guide me in getting those books here in Tirupati itself to help
these deprived boy.

** *The Juvenile Justice Act 2006 says, any person who is under age of 18 is
consider as Child. And if any child commits any conflict with law doesn't
consider as Crime, those children will be sent to Special homes rather than
any normal sub jails.
