In addition to helping monetarily , we could also help by collecting some important information such as the 1. current state of the affected villages. 2. how many people were affected; 3. how many livestock's, fields were affected; 4. what needs to be done for rehabilation of the affected villages. 5. How much ( in terms of money, material ) will be needed for the rehab. Why is this information important ? BOSF including TMAD and many other such NGO's have been organizing relief efforts on their own. The relief efforts, however are temporary , but already all the teams @ the ground level ( again BOSF leading the way ) are planning on rehabiliation. We could help thier efforts by making the above information available for the various teams. How could we collect this information? The document has all the information of all villages affected and the contacts for each one of the villages ( or atleast most of them ) http://www.vmrgmedia.com/flood_final_status.pdf . We could work as a team with each one of the team members responsible for calling a certain number of village contacts and gather the required information. So please let the group know if you want to join the phone campaign. As soon as we have atleast 5 people, we could start of the campaign. cheers Suresh
