Requesting all of you to be active again till we revive the group to what it was once. We are nearing our 5th anniversary, in fact a proud moment. We are together and continue to work with the same principles. I want members of all our Chapters to meet once and share how they are steering the group and what is the roadmap that they set for ourselves. Luckily this time, Feb 28 fell on Sunday. *Bangalore* One Chapter which is consistently active and doing good work. Anil and Pavan, do share your thoughts. *Hyderabad* 1. To continue Education work and take up four more schools. (Pl. refer my earlier mail to the group on how the Education aspect should go). For this academic year we will concentrate only on Mehdipatnam school. In the other schools we will provide employment to the trained visually challenged candidates. We already promised to give teacher job @2k per month for now. Once they do successfully, from next academic year we will give @3k per month. Coming to any opening with us, three months would be probation period and we would be giving @2k per month and later we will increase 1k. Performance Appraisal would be annual. 2. Livelihood Generation How about thinking in these lines? This is the need of the hour. The biggest help to anybody would be making them to stand on their own. We have some options open but we need to give it a serious thought. If you have any idea on Data Entry work or Tele Calling, pl. let me know. Many of the visually challenged are trained as Tele Callers and Data Operators but could not get jobs. How about setting up a small project with minimum investment and pay them salaries. This way we can earn profits for our other activities. And all our entrepreneurial efforts are to be self-sustainable for our projects and also to provide employment to under privileged and to those whom we want to offer support. A learning center (Tailoring and Computers for Women) would also be a good option. In Vijayawada, Y's Men's Association is running it @6k per month (Instructors and Ayah fee. Venue they got for free). If we can take up office space and can keep 10 computers and 10 sewing machines it would be enough. Let this not be a free one but with minimum amount. Let us also provide a scope for them to earn. If it is Tailoring, we can get cloth bags stitched and get quotes from schools and any enterprises for uniform. Once our plan and budget is ready we can publicize all these efforts. We have enough connections now to get required support. 3. Children Home Satya seems to be keen on collaborating with Lending Hands and Bal Rakshak Foundation in setting up a children home. We have to discuss with them and see if this is feasible. Somehow when it comes to Children Home, I want to set up one exclusively by TMAD only as we can have the freedom to operate according to our own ideology. Satya says that as we do not have enough volunteers we cannot take up on our own. Any other idea is also welcome. *Chennai* Visiting various Homes and strengthening BosF is the task of any new or reviving Chapter. BosF is our core activity. Now Srujanavani group also has joined our BosF Chennai. They need to get in touch with so many other groups and strengthen this platform. In addition, they have to make the visits to various Homes in and around Chennai. *Pune and Delhi* Same as Chennai. Visiting various Homes and strengthening BosF is the task of any new or reviving Chapter. We are always open to any other idea that the members of concerned Chapters come up with. By our anniversary time, we should be ready with the Road Map and measuring mechanism to evaluate the progress every quarter. Our US Chapter is for Guidance, Evaluation and Monetary Support.
