One Mr. Rajesh called me today and discussed about some help related with Thalassemia.
He is a businessman by profession but is helping some Thalassemia affected children with blood transfusion etc. He explained me about the impact of blood tranfusion. It seems Iron gets clogged in body because of transfusion (usual food + iron in external blood), so it requires some costly medecine to nullify this effect. Rajesh has invited us to visit Redcross blood bank in Athyuth Reddy Marg (opposite lane to andhra mahila sabha, Vidyanagar). He is yet to register his organization but named it as "Thalassemia Awareness Society". He could be another bird into BOSF. His contact number is 9848093106. We can plan visiting the place, he said he will be happy to accompany us.
