Today's story on Vaishnavi's death, and her dad dying later from shock, is one of those really shaking things one comes across in news. Kidnapping somebody, kiling somebody, rapes and other sexual abuses, all these things are becoming so easy for people!! What animal side of humans is this I keep wondering. Many a times before I hit bed, I toss around unable to sleep wondering into what world have we bought our kids?? Should we just stop bringing more babies into this cruel, uncertain world??
Till someone gets home everynite, if one has to live with this kind of fear, be it becos of someone texting and driving, or driving under alchohol/drug influence, or somebody who just wrong eyed your little one, falling prey to these kind of animal acts, etc etc....hundreds to list. Unbelievable!! We already have hundred things to deal with in this world, not undermining the everyday struggles of life to survive. On one hand we are beating our kids to perfection, this is wrong choice, that is wrong thing to say etc etc.....and on the other hand we are leaving them in this uncertain world....between these growing number of animals/evil. I am soo disturbed today. For once I hope that stupid 2012 prediction or whatever turns true, and the whole world gets wiped out.....and nature starts afresh....all new....and hope human history doesnot repeat. Everytime I meet my friends on a girls night outs etc, we keep complaining that our lives are more like some security cameras these days. There is less time to enjoy motherhood or celebrate womanhood or life at large, without stress...unbearable stress of this "trying to keep our family safe..." Money used to be the goal earlier, make big in life the target, I think that indirectly has led to this situation, since people have figured out that it is much easy to earn this through many other evil means, than working hard and sweating. What a sad situation guys.....such a sorry state of world today.... Just wanted to share my anger, agitation and grief, confusion, over the whole situation....sick and tired of hearing these things....and I worry like hell thinking what world are we passing on to our next generations. We are handing them crap to deal with.....in every way...be it people...or environmental.... Please be aware of your surroundings.....donot take anything for granted....god be with us all... Divya
