Satya, NH has one cancer hospital recently started .. I am not sure if the boy case will be treated there as it doesnt seem to be cancer type.. but mailing as I saw radiation theraphy stuff.. NH cancer insitute (Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Centre.. ) actually does waive charges for poor. So call them and ask them if they treat this kind of cases. if So, i would prefer coming over here....
A cancer helpline was also launched. My self & Giri Kolanupaka from Asha went to Gandhi hospital on 07.02.2010. Here are the case details. Friends Raju and Sriaknth helping him in Gandhi hospital. All the information we gathered is from Anil's friends only: They are all from same college (doing MCA from Sri Kavitha Engineering College in Karepally, Khammam). Doctors have diagnosed him with a peculiar charactaristics in his brain that he started bleeding internally and there is no surgery for this possible. But a radiation therapy called Gama Knife Radiation therapy will resolve the issue only 10%. The chances of survival is still vague. They need to get this done as soon as possible. The family is from very poor background. Patients (Anil's) father died long ago and the only source of income to his family is through his tuitions to children and his mother earns a meager 1500 a month as a teacher in anganwadi. They approached Sai Krishna Hospital in Kacheguda for treatment, but they seem to have quoted 3.5 to 4 lakhs. But the hospital in Bangalore seem to have promised to do the therapy for 1 lakh. But the therapy should be started immediately. They done MRI at Gandhi hospital & Anjiogram (brain anjiogram they said) at KIMS hospital. And anil & his mother don't know about anil condition & the tests done at kims. And today 08.02.2010 one more CT SCAN & MRI is there. once the test was finish, they will know better details.
