Team,

The boy got operated successfully and left back to hyderabad last week.

Thanks to Priya (able adminstrator), sharvani (dedicated filed volunteer) and
Mr Kondiah (kind hearted employee of NIMHANS) who actually took care of the
case end to end and brought logical conclusion.

Donor Money spent or swindled by the students:

I have reported the irresponsble behaviour of students last time and how they
were spending money for volvo buses and their luxeries.

Last time when they left, they had Rs 80,000 for the case.

When they came for operation, they had only Rs 50,000 left. This came to light
when doctor asked them to save the money in bank so that it can be used for
Anil incase incase of any future recurrence of issue. The students requested
sharvani not to tell everyone about the money issue.

When sharvana called the student on day of operation to confirm their presence,
his ill mannered (with no respect) behaviour irked sharavani and she was very
much agitated. When we asked them how they spent funds, they never replied us
and started avoiding our calls

I have complained once and now complaining to the person who is the central
point of contact. Please take this issue seriously. 30,000 Rs spending without
accounts is really a very big offence.

I dont mind writing a letter to principal of college incase money was
collected from students with his permission. Let me know what you all think.
Let us nip it it bud else the students will learn a lesson that no one cares.

NOTE: we didnt get how they spent money and accounts. They are avoiding us and
hence we didnt get chance to hear their side. So, we are assuming there is some
goof up. I am prove to be wrong too. Not sure.

Team,

The case is kind of closed from our side. The volunteers are perfectly handling
the case indepedently. So closed. No efforts are required for this case
anymore. Probably a final update on case story in a week's time.

Update from horse mouth: Looks like Anil and his mother also left after taking
the final call...

Hey Anil,
   Today's Update,

I couldnt make it today to the hospital. Since most of the work was done yest
it was only bout co ordintain the reports to the docc and finidin out a day for
the operation.

Today sujatha was there and she did a good job, she was also accompined by one
of my frnd who came in at the rite time, her name s sharvani. These 2 gals were
at nimhans at 9 and took up the case.

The reports were seen by the docs and they asked anil to visit them back on the
coming wednesday for a date to be finalised for the operation. We are hopin
that i would be done the same day if possible or not latest by thursday.

The Doc s say that they wouldnt conduct a surgery instead they would conduct a
gama ray operation which is quite similar to lazer treatment, this would cost
them a Lakh but we have asked the hospital authorities to consider and we are
positive about them considering it.

We knew an attender who worked in NImhans and he was of great help to the gals
today Mr Kondaiah. He spoke to the docs too and assured us that he would help
us in every posssible way to get this case solved :) He also spoke if he could
ask the doc to consider the amount for the operation since they cant afford it.

The room that was taken by us yesterday at the lodge was vacated at 6.30today .
Anil and all the other 5 who came along decided to leave to hyd and then be
back on wednesday. We also made arrangements if they wished to stay, we asked
the same lodge owner to give a single bedroon at 150 per day till wed as he
gave us a double bedroom for 300. Since they opted to leave they checked out of
the lodge.

They boarded the bus by 8.30 and are on their way to hyd. They told us they
would get in touch with us once they are to leave for bangalore on the tuesday
probably.

So every thing was taken care off today :) All is Well.

Special thanks to Sujatha, Sharvani and Mr Kondaiha, who were resourceful and
helpful at the right time. Thanks to that amazin auto driver who helped us in
gettin a room, in a matter of 15 mins he agreed to help us.
Thanks to Anil for his patience in answerin my numerous phone calls while he s
at office as well as Pavan too :)
Thanks to one and all for everythin.

Regards,
Priya.

Here is the update:

Anil and his mom will be staying in bangalore till wednesday in the same
hotel. Anil has to go for check up wednesday again. They have Andhra Mess
there and will be eating out there. As going and coming back may make the boy
restless, they have decided not to go.

Rest of them will be leaving tonight.

They are planning for operation which will be confirmed on wednesday.
Currently, the operation cost estimate is 50,000/- which is well in their
limit. So, no assistance required.

will look for volunteer for next Wednesday and will plan the rest of the things
accordingly. Am Hoping to hear some good news by atleast this month end.

Team,

Here is today's update:

* The boy's condition is not as critical as mentioned by KIMS doctor. He is
managable and can be operated with ease. Doctors said they see these kind of
cases daily. So, Some good news. The doctor actually wondered by the very
critical condition report of KIMS.

*The boy has to be operated and they have asked for MRI scan. Priya has taken
the boy to one of our known diagonsitic center and got it done.

* Tomorrow, we will have to take the boy to another doctor who deals with these
normal cases along with the report. We will get the concrete action plan then.

Kudos to priya who has to take pain in managing the government doctors who
never agreed on a single thing. One say go to room 15 and the doctor in room 15
says, i didnt get any call from that doctor. Go back to him.... Not sure when
they will change but should really appreciate her for handling this and finally
getting the doctor appointment. She recieved them at bangalore busstand and
took care of the case till they got the room. Indeed, this is what
responsibility means...Inspite of her tight civils schedule she did end to
end....

She has taken the boy to diagonsitic centre for MRI, spoke to the same autoguy
about the boy's problem and told him the need for rooms. He arranged rooms for
them, arranged autos to them to the lodge and did help them a lot.

Some people talk less and work more. But priya was definitely one who talks
more and also works more ;)..... Really happy to see such commited volunteers.

Hope to see the boy back to action. Let u pray god.

Anilkumar BVN

Anil,

They booked tickets for today @ 9.00pm bus. and i asked them to get down at
Mejistic and
gave Priya, Ajitha's phone no to his friend Raju. Along with anil, his
mother, Babai, Pedamma & friends(Raju, Uday & murali) are coming. His frineds
will be return back tomorrow evening as they have to start their MCA project.

Raju Phone no: 9030618959
Anil Phone no: 9177761798

once they reach Bangalore they will call Priya for assistance.. because they
don't know any thing in Bangalore. (i asked them to call priya before starting.
may be they will call)

And they collected around One Lakh for expenses. and they are traveling with
some cash & one cheque(blank cheque for 50K). some of our volunteers have to
deposit the cheque into their account and need to give money to Anil.
