Prasanthi, I understand most of the information could be truly beneficial to many, but these are newsletter type than issue related. I'd prefer only to receive issue or our TMAD organizational related emails than general information- as it is, we receive too many emails on each issue- like someone suggested before, let us try to limit emails to the group as much as possible, contact individual members directly if there is a specific point you want to address with them, rather than the forum. It doesn't help again when we receive multiple emails about same topic either.
It does not help to have a separate email address to me. If everyone else is ok with receiving multiple emails, then probably I'll just change my email settings on the group so I access whenever I can- I do not have internet at my home and use my phone for mail access and cannot spend much time at my office on personal work, so this is restrictive again. Would like to request you to think as a group but not as an individual. We always say to our members (either TMAD or BosF) to create a separate gmail for our group as there would be flood of mails from us. I do not think there is any mail that is of no value. Only point is we might have read them in other group or in any media. Same might not be the case with others. Very few of our members are members in BosF. Most of our members are exclusively TMAD members. Not everyone get time to go through News Papers or online media. If we get informative mails on a crucial topic (take the example of RTI), it would be useful, if we read. We might not read all mails at once and we can always choose whether or not to read a mail or delete it or keep labels to move topics with certain tags/subject line. Coming to creating a separate group or discussion forum, nothing worked. Earlier we tried creating different groups for all the Causes like Education, Health etc., We also created a Discussion Board. We cannot log on to multiple forums and keep checking the updates. Though this is a bit inconvenient, I do not see any major problem with the current mechanism. Please try to create a separate ID exclusively for TMAD/BosF mails. Hope this helps.
