Friends, Bharath, our TMAD member, watched a show in TV5 about this girl who is differently abled and is very much interested in higher studies. He contacted TV5 and got the number of the local reporter. I spoke with him now and he felt extremely happy. I asked him to visit the girl and inform me so that I can talk to her. She is an orphan and so she might not object to come to Hyderabad. We need to place her in any home for temporary shelter and then look for joining her in a college.
Raghunatha Reddy garu visited the girl and I spoke with her. She is happy that we are going to help her but at the same time she said that she would like to study in Cuddapah only. The reasons are she is a handicap physically and she never visited Hyderabad and knows no one here. I asked her if there are anyone in Cuddapah who can take care of her. She said she is living in temple and there are no one. So I convinced her to first come and see for few days and if she doesn't like we will take her back to her native. Raghunatha Reddy garu mentioned that they will send the girl to TV5 office in Hyderabad and we can receive her there. I suggested to send a woman with her so that she can feel comfortable and he agreed. I also asked him to send her on Friday so that we can receive her on Saturday morning. I spoke with Mrs. Ruth Nischala of Aurora Degree College. She promised all help to us to the extent she can. The regular fee for B.Com. is 26k and this is a Co-Ed English Medium College. I doubt if this girl would be interested to join in such a big college initially. I am thinking of any girl's college and also telugu medium course. or else any certification course for a year wherein she can improve, learn English and develop a perspective on what she want to do and all, that would be good. Need your suggestions. First of all, we need a temporary shelter for her for at least 15 days so that we can come to a decision about further course of action. Thank you. with regards, Prasanthi.
