Hi all, Update of activity : (Books Distribution to Mehdipatnam School children).
We started the program at 10.15 am. Students invited us with a welcome song and with few cultural activities. After warm welcome from them immediately we had a meeting with their parents. It was great interaction which happened around 1 ½ hour .Discussed points are: 1. Requested them to send their children school regularly 2. Conveyed the precautions to take on the neatness, Dress sense etc 3. Explained to the parents about the food which should provide to their children to keep them healthy 4. Opinions about Warangal Tour (Which we are planning to take children after 2 or 3 months, and it takes two days time). Many of the parents agreed to take their children to outside of the city, since they can’t take them any time. Very few (2-3 parents) asked us to plan the trip inside the city. 5. Parents requested us about the progress cards and toilet facilities for kids. After this nice interactive discussion we distributed notebooks to all class students and also distributed 25 pairs of slippers (leftovers of last year) to 1st class kids. Totally 86 students are presented (Including Early Child Education kids). Distribution went on till 3.30 PM. After this program we had team meeting about introduction of new volunteers and discussed about activities for 15th august. In between we had a small meeting with Loksatta political party people, Mr. Sai Baba (GHMC Committee member) proposed a school (Which needs NGO’s help) in vijayanagaram colony. Our Team decided to visit that school on coming Saturday. Today Attendees: Shilpa, Shailaja, Prasanthi, Praveen, Satya Krishna, Venkatesh (Praveen Friend), Diwakar, Harinath. And new volunteers: Sunil, Sameera, Ravi, Naresh. Thank you very much for all the attended members for making this program successfully and a warm welcome to new volunteers. About Parent request: Generally Govt. will not give any progress cards to student. we can plan for it from Quarterly exams onwards. After / before dasara holidays, we can conduct one more parents meeting and balance books distribution. At that time we can give progress card. One of our membera Hema sailja suggested "* it would be encouraging if we give any certificates to the Students when they get top ranks and when they win in any competition.". * We need good number of volunteers to do any activity. If we have sufficient volunteers then we can plan for this certificates for 26th January. By observing 6months performance of the kid we can give. meanwhile we will try to conduct one more medical camp also. 15-August activities will mail soon. I will update photos link by tomorrow evening.
