Below is an email I had sent a couple of years ago , I'm sure some of
this may be still relevant for our decision board discussions. Hence resending

This email is intended to get the ball rolling on the different roles &
responsibilities that each one of us can take up. This is to ensure we have a
smooth, effective without over-burdening any one individual.
1) Volunteer Coordination: Responsible for recruiting volunteers & help them
realize and motivate. Given the diversity and composition of the MAD group its
important that we coordinate all our donations.
2) Account Coordination: Responsible for maintaining a transparent accounting
system, provide regular updates to the group.
3) Public Relations Coordination: To maintain a database of all the contacts
who are interested in Making a Difference, to initiate contacts with potential
to influence the society, to initiate contacts with Doctors etc ..
4) Website Coordination: Responsible for maintaining the website, provide the
latest happenings in the group.
5) Patient Coordination: (couldnt find an appropriate title) : Responsible for
authenticating the patients case, procuring relevant information, updating the
group, soliciting the help from groups and other memebers.
6) Communication Coordination:Responsible for communication material, drafting
emails, developing fliers, writing to the media. This is important as we grow
as a group, our responsibilites will certainly increase and we are bound to
look for outside help.
Again this is just a template , the roles can be redefined and broadend as we
progress. Everything is open for discussion and would ceratinly benefit from
the inputs from everybody. Once we identify the roles we can just assign
volunteers to them.
Please note that accepting a role does not mean that everything has to be done
by the volunteers responsible for that, he or she can certainly seek help from
others. Its a definetly a group effort and together we can !!
