jsp-file and load-on-startup and init-param does not work.

The virtual host shouldn't matter, although I admit to not having tested 
against it.  The ROOT context isn't treated any differently than any other 
context.

Yes, an explicit mapping will take precedence over the default "*.jsp" mapping, 
so that you will get the declared servlet (which has the initParameters).

Of course, none of this works unless you build from a cvs checkout, or wait 
until tomorrow's nightly.
