http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8940 Tomcat shuts itself down for no apparent reason [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|Normal |Minor Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |WONTFIX ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-05-09 21:05 ------- You're going to be really disgusted with me now :) This is happening because I fixed (in a very minor fashion) some variables in my copy of the catalina.sh script and got Tomcat to work again under Cygwin. Remember that? The problem goes away if I run under DOS. Given that catalina.sh uses "&" to background the process, Cygwin is probably sending kill/HUP signals or something for some (buggy) reason, causing tomcat to shut itself down as requested (and quite orderly so). I'll try playing with nohup in catalina.sh, but given the lack of general enthusiasm for Cygwin, I'll keep me hacks to meself and close the bug. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
