Hi to all, Tomcat 4 make write access to 2 files in the conf directory, jk2.properties and tomcat-users.xml (and may be others).
The problem is that FHS indicate that a conf directory should be read only. For instance, tomcat4 rpm install the conf directory in /etc/tomcat4 and use symlink to map it to /var/tomcat4/conf. What could be done to have a behaviour following FHS recommandations ? Could we imagine having jk2.properties and tomcat-users.xml (and other files in conf which may be updated by tomcat4) in another directory, ie work/conf ?
