This is because relative URLs in the page for images etc, as seen by the browser, will be relative to the secured resource, not the login page. With static html this is awkward to fix. Obviously this might cause some breakage, but the old behaviour is broken for everyone. This sprang to mind 'cos I was wondering if I could make it easier to get my patch accepted if I made it a customizable feature, as described in http://www.mail-archive.com/tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org/msg36852.html ? That way the old behaviour could be preserved for those who want it. I don't mind which is the default. Bill Barker - if you're reading this, I'd be interested in seeing your patch (not in cvs yet?) so I can produce one that works the same way. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
