JDK 1.4 - again

Some time ago I posted that maybe Tomcat 5.0 should require 1.4, and Tomcat 4 be 1.3.

News:
Resin 3.0 (the fastest container) requires JDK1.4.

And http://www.blackdown.org/java-linux/java2-status/jdk1.4-status.html

Of course 1.4 is faster, more reflection.

(Also: Doug Lea's collections that are fast and threaded are in JDK 1.5.)

Please consider requiring the better/faster 1.4.
