http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=17814 SSL hangs on multiprocessor systems Summary: SSL hangs on multiprocessor systems Product: Tomcat 4 Version: 4.1.18 Platform: PC URL: https://localhost:8443/ OS/Version: Windows NT/2K Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: Other Component: Unknown AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Accessing any SSL page will completely hang Tomcat, if Tomcat is running on a host with more than one processor. Problem happens on 4.1.18, also happens on 4.1.12 (other versions not tested). Test setup: Install SSL according to instructions for Java 1.3.x series VMs. Simply access any page via SSL, such as the home page. On single processor systems, SSL works perfectly. Using identical setup on multiprocessor systems causes Tomcat to hang for the calling page and all other pages, SSL or normal. Only recourse is to restart Tomcat. The problem is 100% reproducable on various systems, including 2-cpu PCs, 4- and 8-cpu HP-UX boxes, etc. Identical setup under single processor systems runs without problem. On rare occasion, Tomcat will successfully serve one or two SSL pages before lockup. But most of the time lockup is on the first request for an SSL page. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
