I have modified the algorithm to address this case a little bit better, but
there's little which can be done. However, this is clearly a JVM problem, as,
quite frankly, an IOException shouldn't occur during setting the socket options.
I presume you're using Redhat with a Sun JDK. Please do not reopen the report.
