http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=24932 Is there a rule on the User Name field? Summary: Is there a rule on the User Name field? Product: Tomcat 5 Version: 5.0.14 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Webapps:Administration AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] When creating a new user and using "@#$%" in the User Name field, as we know, the "tomcat-users.xml" will include errors, then "/admin" will not work. To fix it, we have to stop tomcat, and manually modify the "tomcat-users.xml". Maybe, this question is too trivial for our busy tomcat developers. But, IMHO at least, we ought to tell our user the "legal" User Name, shouldn't we? Hopfully, someone can give me a tip. thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
