I think the files
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.0- doc/architecture/requestProcess/requestProcess.pdf
and
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.0- doc/architecture/startup/serverStartup.pdf
are broken.
They're broken on the web site, but they're OK in CVS: http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/jakarta-tomcat-catalina/webapps/docs/a rchitecture/
So they must be corrupted by our website staging process. I've restaged the website twice already with no effect. I've posted a question to the tomcat-dev list with this issue, no answer yet.
Maybe it occurs because I upload the docs using a zip. I'll try to improve this in the next release.
