This "bug" report was submitted many times, and resolved as INVALID.
Then I'm sorry I didn't find it before posting. I did not mean to spam the dev. list.
Maybe you could use a valve or a filter, it would have been faster than writing this email ;)
No Sorry. Writing the email was quick compared to finding the issue in the first instance :-)
And I stand by the observation that such side effects from components outside the web application is not good. And I'd argue that "[...] then reading the body directly via [...]" (or the Servlet spec. section) does not merely imply referencing.
Anyway, if this is an issue you have decided on and debated before I shall not argue more about it.
