I'd just add that if a feature is not in the Spec, and it's fragile as even its supporters admit, then I don't want to implement it. We have enough to worry about with making Tomcat more stable, more efficient, faster, more suited to other environments (smaller footprint, smaller distros, etc.), and all that stuff is more important. All this is far more than enough to -1 this.
