You can't have a stable release from ASF without a [VOTE]. It doesn't matter if it's the one piece of bug-free software in the world. You still need a [VOTE].
My mistake.
I forgot the standard:
"We expect it to be ratified as a Stable release when the vote takes place in the next week. "
clause when doing copy/paste from the previous version.
I did not wish to have this info in the CVS xdocs, but forgot
to add it into announcement.
Since the JK is different then Tomcat I had to mark it as "stable" before tagging, cause the source carries the version information, so simple renaming of the distribution can not be implemented.
That's how the "stable" word appeared, cause in any other version information tagged we would need to change the source, retag and vote again.
Perhaps I should call for a vote on a CVS HEAD like we did with JK2. Anyhow, I'll call for a vote later today.
