And the code in mod_proxy_ajp contains all the latests jk modifications ?
No. Mod_jk contains backported concepts from mod_proxy_ajp and mod_proxy_balancer :). Other things like domain model clustering will be ported to mod_proxy_balancer, but that's not high priority.
