http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=34222 Summary: TagHandlerPool does not call release on pooled tags Product: Tomcat 5 Version: 5.0.28 Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Jasper AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] If JSP custom tag handling is enabled, a tag is returned to the pool after calling doEndTag(). release() is only called when the tag is removed from the pool. So any attribute values will still be set on the next use unless explicitly set in the JSP, also any allocated resources will remain allocated, etc.. I know that tag pooling can be disabled, but it's a bit restrictive to have to switch off all tag pooling if you have any tag which can't cope with not having its release() method called after each use. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
