Please follow up on Tomcat user if you are still experiencing problems. A few things to note are: - In 4.1.x a context.xml in META-INF is only used by the ManagerServlet during deployment - a <resource-ref> in web.xml that refers to a resource that does not exist will cause an error that looks like this.
