https is port 443. You need to to uncomment the HTTP
1.1 connector for 8443 and change the port to 443.

Uncomment the following connector in server.xml:

<!-- Define a SSL HTTP/1.1 Connector on port 8443 -->
 <Connector port="8443" maxHttpHeaderSize="8192"
            maxThreads="150" minSpareThreads="25"
            acceptCount="100" scheme="https"
            clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS" />

Change the port to 443. Read the documentation
concerning the attributes (especially the sslProtocol
and clientAuth).
