anyone is interested.
I need to select a DBMS for an online auction application soon. Was
going to use MySQL, but the PostgreSQL transaction support sounds
attractive. Comments welcome.

PostgreSQL. It's fast, Free (with a capital F) and supports
transactions, triggers, sequences and pretty much anything else
you need. It's what our company uses if Oracle is out of the
question.
