Apache & Tomcat.

Friends,

My aim is to integrate tomcat with Apache on unix that already has java 1.2.
I have downloaded the source distribution of tomcat beta 3.2.  The README
file tells me to download & install the following:

JAXP -compliant parser.
jakarta-ant
jakarta-servetapi

My question is: do i really need to install & build these distributions?
Isnt jus Tomcat enough for serving JSPs & Servelts????

PS: I had already built the mod_jk & placed it in the apache/libexec
directory!!!
