Hello all,
I know this is somewhat off-topic, but since I could have sworn I have seen
a thread like this in the past on this mailing list and I believe there is
quite a bit of expertise here, I decided to ask. I have searched the
archives, but could not find any reference to this.

My company is considering moving from a JServ per instance of our product to
stateless, load-balanced JServs across several machines, due to performance
and scalability issues. However, I read on this mailing list awhile back
that people have seen severe performance hits when trying to use two
different machines: one for Apache, one for JServ. Has anyone here seen this
happen? It will be a considerable effort for us to implement this, so we
would like a heads-up if this is a bad idea. Also, if there is a problem and
a workaround, that would be great. Please respond with horror/happiness
stories, I am grateful for any feedback. Thanks!
