http://java.sun.com/jdbc gives all sorts of tutorials explaining
how to do this - it is pretty straight forward. My experience with
the JDBC-ODBC bridge is, that it is not stable enough for production
systems, (all sorts of dramas - string truncation, data type issues, 
dropping out of connections). Much better it to get a JDBC driver for 
the specific database (a driver database is at the URL above as well).
