Hi,
I tried starting tomcat before apache. I see the startupscript
being executed, but tomcat doesn't start.
Has anybody working Unix startupscripts for Tomcat?

Tomcat should start  after Apache during reboot. Also remember to set your 
classpath in the startup script.
