hi, i am presently configuring tomcat 3.1.1 with apache 1.3.9. i have them both running and can access tomcat via http://hostname:8080 and apache via http://hostname. i have folled the instructions in the tomcat-apache how to manual and i have used the jserv module and tomcat is correctly starting using port 8007. i am confused though why i cannot verify the configuration by going to http://hostname/examples/servlets or http://hostname/examples/jsp. i can see these only if i use http://hostname:8080. i have included tomcat's tomcat.conf file in apache's httpd.conf file but it still does not see these files unless i copy them into the htdocs directory. i am guessing the problem lies in the tomcat.conf file with paths? if anyone can offer some assistance i would appreciate it. also when i stop the apache web server with the apachectl stop command i can still connect to it, why is that? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
