nt service

I am using w2k, jdk1.3 from sun and tomcat 3.2.1  whenever i try to start the service i am getting this error.   Asked (and given) winsock 1.1 Error: StartServiceCtrlDispatcher failed.   So the service won't start i can start tomcat form the command line and it works but not the service...any suggestions or hints? can someone please respond personally as I am not on the list.   thanks,   brian
